Inclusive Membership

The mission statement of Delta Epsilon Psi Fraternity, Inc. reads:
“We the Brothers of Delta Epsilon Psi vow to be a fraternity whose primary purpose is to instill
Brotherhood, Discipline, and Commitment within its members, through various social and service driven endeavors”
In being true to our values and living our mission, Delta Epsilon Psi continues to be inclusive of all men, regardless of race, religion, creed, sexual orientation, nationality, citizenship, and ability. For this reason, on July 15, 2017 at our National Convention held in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, our membership voted to become the first fraternity of our kind, to extend membership to any individual who identifies as a man, regardless of their gender assigned at birth.
Over the past few years, fraternities and sororities have had the need to re-evaluate what it means to be gendered organizations built on fellowship. As an organization built on a pillar of brotherhood, it is imperative that we continue to advocate for more inclusive membership while pursuing the vision of our founders, because “in brotherhood lies our strength.”

Delta Epsilon Psi was founded on October 1st, 1998 on the campus of the University of Texas, and built on the pillars of Brotherhood, Discipline, and Commitment. Since its establishment, the fraternity has grown to become the largest South Asian Interest fraternity.
